Mel, a passenger on a time transport flight, must decide to return to the present or risk her life to give her dying father a chance to relive his own.
Humans can 'fly the friendly airwaves' and transport back in time when they purchase a round-trip waveline ticket to a destination of their choice in their own past. Mel, a lucky teenager who won a contest, decides to visit her father right before he died of an illness five years ago. In a pre-flight warning, Mel agrees to a lifetime disclosure that outlines the main law of wave travel -- 'no transfer of wave privileges to anyone without the sole discretion of the waveline facility.' Mel must decide to break the rules to give her father the gift of an extended life, or sacrifice her own life altogether.
